Elda will celebrate the second edition of Elda Shopping Night on Saturday, October 18th, a must-attend event for those who love enjoying the city, discovering unique shops, and experiencing a unique night out with family or friends. With the support of the Department of Commerce and Markets, the city center streets will be filled with color, atmosphere, and special offers from more than 70 local businesses, which will open their doors from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., displaying their products and offering exclusive promotions, gifts, music, and many surprises.
This time, as announced this morning by the Councilor for Commerce and Markets, Silvia Ibáñez, «the number of participating businesses has grown significantly, going from 50 in the first edition to nearly 75 that have registered this year. In this way, Elda Shopping Night becomes a great collective showcase where local businesses make themselves known, bringing their products and services closer to the public in a friendly, attractive, and festive way.
For her part, Rocío Vera, president of AEDE, emphasized that «this year, businesses not located within the main pedestrian zone will once again have a dedicated multi-retail area, specially designed so they can take part in this great night. This year, there will be a total of 18 establishments, making the multi-retail area much larger.»
This year’s route, more than 1,500 linear meters long, includes Juan Carlos I Street (from Plaza Sagasta to the intersection with María Guerrero Street), Antonino Vera Street, Poeta Zorrilla Street, Ramón Gorgé Street, Pi y Margall Street, Reyes Católicos Street, Elia Barceló Street, and María Guerrero Street.
The program of activities will be full of activities designed for the whole family, enriching the shopping experience. Highlights include the Neon Parade (from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.), children’s stations with balloon twisting and face painting located at different points along the route, so that the little ones can also enjoy a fun afternoon, and an AEDE prize wheel so that those who shop at partner stores can try their luck and win instant prizes.
It’s important to remember that participating stores will offer special promotions for that evening only, exclusive discounts, raffles, and their own activities to surprise their visitors. «Elda Shopping Night is not just a shopping event; it’s an urban and social experience that strengthens the bond between businesses and citizens.» This initiative, promoted by Elda City Council, the Department of Commerce and Markets, and AEDE, aims to support and boost the city’s commercial fabric,» concluded Silvia Ibáñez.
